Our favorite overall sand is Carib Sea Super Naturals Aquarium Sand, which is easy to clean and comes in a versatile medium grain. But there are lots of different types of aquarium sands that may work even better for your tank.

Colorado sand is natural sand, suitable for cosmetic sand of general aquarium tanks & planted aquariums, reddish color sand makes an atmosphere of natural river bed inside the aquarium. It is also possible to use it in various ways such as a thin layer of base sand for wabi-kusa layout tank.

The natural decorations for the aquarium also include ornaments made of bamboo, coconut, natural woods or clay. For example, smaller pieces of wood floating on the water surface are great in case of black waters biotope aquarium.
